Dear reader, from reading my blog you will have undoubtedly noticed that I’m under a lot of pressure and very stressed. So it seemed only appropriate to take a day out of the hard life of holidays and visit a spa for a day…. Especially when friends have supplied discount vouchers to a fancy place! But we’ll get to that.
The day started with a lovely breakfast at Manjas “Coffee Dealer” (the place where she buys her coffee). It’s a totally hipster place, build into a slightly run-down building with recycled charm. The food was absolutely awesome too.
Some pictures from the ride over:
Once we were properly fed, we headed off to Vabali to make use of the voucher. Unfortunately one of the rules is a phone detox: you can’t take along electronic devices. This means that there’s not much in terms of photos…
Vabali is basically a 20,000 square meter relaxation oasis near the middle of Berlin. Pools, Saunas, Water beds, lawns, massage options…. and importantly ice-cream. You name it, they seem to have it. For the guy who didn’t really appreciate massages until recently, this /was/ quite significantly outside of my comfort zone. I think if I went on my own I’d have just been lost, and there would have been a high chance of me running out of the building as quickly as my legs would carry me… possibly screaming. Just look at how comfortable I seem to be!
As it was, I had a very patient guide in Manja, who showed me around the whole facility and arranged things for me. With her patient support I ended up really enjoying the whole day, and was actually sad that it was time to leave eventually.
In return for the guidance at Vabali, and because I was suuuuuuuuper relaxed (are you SURE they just put eucalypt into that sauna!?), I spent the evening helping with Manja balcony garden. Manja was kind enough to invite me to dinner before I had an early night – after all tomorrow we’re off to Mallorca, and plenty of things still needed to be prepared….
…..Like a suitcase!

That’s the life, Simon! I hope that you’re enjoying every moment!!
I totally am Kat! Thanks for reading and commenting 🙂
Oh I want to go there! Sounds really great!
It REALLY was! I’ll have to go again sometime! 🙂
Da hast Du aber eine wundervolle Zeit und wie ich sehe, auch eine tolle Gesellschaft beim Frühstück.
Stimmt! Die Gesellschaft beim Frühstück ist wirklich besonders schön!
